Flashback week - Making Cootie Catchers!

Hey guys! So I'm going to do one of these weeks every now and then - a flash back week. It'll basically be something that I haven't done in awhile, that I did when I was younger, so it's like it's 'new'. And it'll also be something that I think other people probably also did when they were younger. Also, I'm so so so sorry I didn't post on Sunday as usual...but anyways. ON WITH THE POST! I don't know about you guys, but when I was younger I absolutely loved making what we called 'cootie catchers' or 'fortune tellers'. I don't know what it was about them, maybe it was the fact that such a cool contraption was made of a simple piece of paper, or maybe I just liked controlling other people's future. But I always really enjoyed creating them. So for this week, I decided to make a few and try them out, sharing my experience and fun with you guys. To make one, you can either print off a template or make your own! You make

RANDOM FUN STUFF-DRAW A STICKMAN!

Be creative every day. This is the message at the end of your stick man's journey. Ah, but this is just the beginning! First, I am so, so sorry I am late in posting...I've been so busy! For this week, I decided to go for a more fun new thing, that everyone can try. I went to drawastickman.com. This is a website which allows you to create your own stick-person, and take it on a journey of its own! You can see your stick-person come to life, and as it goes along it asks you to draw things in so that it can defeat the mighty dragons, beasts, or whatever may come its way. And the best part is? You don't even have to be an amazing artist! I know that some of my drawings weren't the best - one ladder rung was crooked at the top, and my key did not look the best either - but the cheerful stickman I created didn't judge. He still used them to the best of his ability. On the contrary, you can also be as creative and elaborate as you like. I even saw one person who'd draw

The Versatile Blogger Awards!

Hey guys! So, normally, I wouldn't do 2 posts in one day...but I have been nominated for the versatile blogger awards by Just A Bubble !! So thank you so much :) If you get the chance, you should for sure check her out, I personally love her blog :) So, if you are nominated for this award, you are supposed to thank the person who nominated you, include 7 things about yourself for them in the post, and nominate 15 blogs that you recently found or regularly follow. Lifestyle: Try a new sport (cricket)

Earlier this year, I had the chance to join a cricket team for players who were new to the game. I had never really played cricket, and I thought it would be cool. I joined the team, and it was super fun! The rules were a bit like baseball. There are 2 batters, who are on opposite sides of the pitch. One is batting, while the other gets ready to run. There’s also a bowler, who throws the ball to the batter. However, we had to learn a specific way to bowl – it involved a straight arm, which was tricky. Our throws were off at first, not going anywhere near the batter, but eventually we began to get the hang of it. Batting was also something we had to learn, and it wasn't as easy as it sounds. You have to be in a certain position, ready to block and hit as many balls as you can. There are also fielders, however, the majority of our practices were spent on how to bat and bowl. We practiced every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The times weren't always specific, som

Lifestyle Week - No Sugar!

For this week, I'm going to be doing a lifestyle challenge. Basically, I'm going to try and go a week without sugar. We'll see how this goes! DAY 1: I have a confession. I started the day off by forgetting that I wasn't going to have any sugar...and promptly put some brown sugar in my oatmeal. But to my defense, oatmeal isn't the same without brown sugar! And I did put walnuts in as well...which are very good for you. They made my breakfast a little healthier, right? As for the rest of the day, I refused a cookie, some delicious sugared strawberries, and my grandmother's rice pudding! That one was VERY hard. You gotta take pride in the small things, right? DAY 2: Again, I forgot about the no sugar...I had a jam and peanut butter bagel sandwich. About halfway through I realized jam had sugar in it! Darn. I haven't had any more sugar today though, so I'm glad about that. Hopefully tomorrow will be better with no sugar! DAY 3: Sugarless and pro
