Sticky Situation Story Series Pt. 1: The Time I Got Stuck On A Bar

HEYYYY. (OMG, Iris is posting on a Saturday again? Shocker. Tbh I just sat down to write and just really wanted to post it now cause I'm impatient so yeah.) I have decided to start a new series on this blog! I'm not sure how long it will last but I have many stories to share...so it could go on awhile. It's basically going to be a bunch of different funny, embarrassing, sometimes cringe-worthy stories that have happened to me. And this first one, as you can tell, is the time I got stuck on a bar.

I think I must have been about 9 at the time when this story takes place. So let's just go with that. I was playing on the playground with my friends during recess. We're fooling around, when for some reason I get it in my head that I'm going to climb on top of this bar. It's not a big bar or anything. It's one of those ones on a playground, not monkey bars, but just single bars. But I mean I was short (still am tbh), so it was about my height. I climbed on top and my friends were all helping and encouraging me, and suddenly I was stuck in a very awkward position.

Both legs were wrapped around opposite sides of the bar, and I was basically straddling it whilst sitting up. I was terrified, 'cause I was scared I was gunna fall. I was teetering back and forth. My friends are trying to coach me on how to get down.

And then...the bell rings. Meaning the end of recess.

My fear levels basically sky rocketed at this point in time. The only thing I can think of is, "how the heck do I get off this bar???" My friends yell for the principal, because hey, class is about to start and I'm still stuck on a bar. This was NOT what I had in mind for the day. He comes over, and is asking what happened, and helped me get down. I think he had to lift me off, because I was in a super awkward position.

But he did, and I'm pretty sure at this point, all my friends had kinda left, or were heading up the hill to class (lol thanks guys), so I thanked my principal like the polite kid I was and ran to catch up with them.

I had a relatively normal day after that. But that traumatic experience was enough to deter me from the bars for like...life. I don't think I've ever climbed back on one of those. Are those even meant for climbing? I've used them since, for things like swinging...but I've never actually climbed on again LOL.

Anyways, yeah that's it for today. Do you want more Sticky Situation Stories? Just comment down below! I think I may do them every couple weeks, or just whenever I have an embarrassing situation I can share with y'all. Do you have embarrassing stories? Share them down below too! Hey, we can have an embarrassing story support group! There's no judgement here, guys, just positive vibes :)

Oh and next week, I'm hoping to do a Christmasy type post, cause guess what? Next Sunday is Christmas!!

Also, so I get off on Wednesday...what would you guys think about me doing a little bit of a 'blogmas'? I've seen some bloggers (like Lou - I'm really enjoying her daily blogmas posts, I get them in my email and just read them there :D) and lots of youtubers do it, and it's a really cool idea. I'd probs do it from Wednesday or Thursday till Christmas. It would just be a bunch of winter/christmas themed posts, I may do a winter-haul type thing (I got some really cool santa sunglasses I've been meaning to share, plus an awesome beanie!), winter room decor, and anything else I come up with. So what do you say: yay or nay? Please let me know in the comments!!

OH my new fave quote(s): "Positive mind, positive vibes, positive life."

...AND...

"She believed she could so she did."

...as well as...

"You got this."

...cause guess what? You do :) I believe in you! Push through this last week of school (if you're still in it!!)

Till next time!
