My Morning Routine

HEYO! I'm in such a good mood today. I came home and went for a walk with my mum and talked her ear off, haha. I'm really energetic for some strange reason, and I haven't even had any sugar OR caffeine today (not that I usually have caffeine lol). BUT I'M NOT QUESTIONING IT. I like feeling like this, it's that I CAN AND WILL CONQUER THE WORLD (all caps cause I'm in a good mood and I would probs yell it if I said it tbh) feeling, y'know what I'm sayin'? So if I fool around more in this post, well, just be forewarned :)

Also, I'm really late with this post and I'm really sorry! I was just not going to do a post this week since it's so late but I thought, eh, why not, since I have some free time.

So this week, honestly, has been one of the best ones of my life. I'm not sure if there's a particular reason, but I've just been happier, and been taking charge of my life more, I guess. And I'm just gunna say, I owe it all (well, most of it) to this: my morning routine.

Now, I know what you're thinking (yeah, I'm psychic). Iris, what does your morning routine have anything to do with the way your day goes?

Well, dear reader, it actually has EVERYTHING to do with it. I have established a morning routine over the past few days and they have been so, so much better since then. So without further ado, I present to you: MY MORNING ROUTINE! Let's gooooo!

NIGHT BEFORE PREP:

I have started to do prep for my morning the night before, and it's really worked. I try to pack my bag (except for my laptop, which is charging), and do some chores before bed so I don't have to do them in the morning. I also set out my clothes for the next day so I don't have to think in the morning.

IN THE MORNING:
First, I wake up. (no waaay, really? *sarcasm intended*) My alarm is set louder so that I actually wake up with it haha. Cause I've slept through my alarm before unfortunately. I have learned my lesson, don't worry.

I make my bed as soon as I get up. That way pretty much all my chores are now out of the way. Sweet :)

Next, I take a shower. I have swim practice most days, so I wash my hair every morning after practice. But if I haven't had practice the day before, I don't wash my hair, since it's bad to wash it every day. (I mean it's probs also bad to leave the chlorine in my hair overnight but I'm over it. It's not that long, plus I prefer to shower in the morning lol.) But showers wake me up pretty well, so that's why I do it then.

After that, I get changed, and head down to feed my kitty :) She hasn't really been enjoying the fact that I now take longer to get food to her (due to my new routine)...but she's still getting fed, so s'all good :) it's only like ten minutes difference haha, she survives.

After I finish that, I come back up for breakfast. YUM. Breakfast is legit my fave meal. All the food as soon as you wake up? YES PLEASE.

Anyways, I usually head upstairs after that, to brush my teeth, and do my hair and makeup. Then once that's finished, I grab my bag, slide in my laptop, grab my phone, and I'm READY for the day!!!

Trust me when I say, feeling organized in the morning is literally the BEST feeling EVER. I just end up feeling so refreshed and good, ready to conquer and achieve :D

  1. That's exactly what I do. Making up your bed first thing saves you from coming home to a messy room! I also brush my teeth after I eat breakfast which apparently isn't the best thing for you teeth but who cares? Who wants bad breath(sorry for ranting on about stupidness).But this is totally relates to me!
