I AM BACK!! (Or Bach, cause I'm punny)

HAIIIII GUYS!!!! I am finally back. I know I kind of ditched you all in the middle of my Italy trip, and I am so sorry. We had a few full day trips and I was just way too tired after those to write up any posts. And then after the trip I got super busy, but now I am officially...Bach. Hehhe. I'll try and get around to finishing up the Italy diaries at some point, but for now...THE BLOG GOES ON. Okay. So for this post I'm listing 10 things I want to try this summer!!! 1) learn how to cook. This would be so helpful, considering I get hungry a lot, and I've been meaning to for awhile.  2) go for more regular runs and workouts. I need to get into better shape if I want to make sports teams this year! There's a gym near me that I've gone to once with a friend,  so I think I'll try to go more regularly.  3) learn a song by one direction by heart on the piano. This way I have a song that I can just pull out if I'm ever with friends and a piano!! So...

Small Note

YOOO. Okay so I know I didn't post yesterday's Italy Diary yesterday. Oops sorry about that.  HOWEVER. I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION.  I know I've asked this before but actually if anyone has been to Italy and has suggestions as to where to go they would be especially appreciated today...seeing as our tour just got rebooked.  So please please please tell meeeeee!!!!!!!  Thanks :) till next time!! ~Iris

Italy Diary: Day 3

Image
Ouch. That's all I can think right now. I think I bruised my butt from the bike tour yesterday. 😁 Haha. Anyways. Today started off...with my dad waking us up. Thinking that we were supposed to wake up at 7:30 instead of 7:45. I got a couple extra minutes of sleep though!! Our breakfast consisted of jam and bread, croissant, apricot, cherry yogurt and apricot juice. Yum.  Then, we got ready and booked it to our tour. We ended up being late (probably should have gotten up at 7:30...oops), but it was all good.  The tour was super interesting. I learned so much, seriously. And I took a ton of pictures. I'll put each picture here, then explain about it.  This was where we met for the tour. Tbh I don't have much info about it oops. The guide kinda just got to know us a bit more, y'know?  Now THIS is the biggest some in the world, in what was originally the biggest church in the world. Crazy. And huge. It's also self supporting!! Okay thi...

Italy Diary: Day 2 (evening)

Okay so it turns out I overestimated our laziness. We went out and tried a new seafood restaurant for dinner. My goodness, it was delicious. Now since its late, I'll just post some pics of it here.  Okay that's it haha. I'm tired and it's late. Plus we have to get up early for a tour tomorrow. Remember, if you have any suggestions for places please tell me!!! We would love any that you have. As well, as always, if you want me to try something new just comment it and I'll try me best to try it (once I return from Italy haha). Anywhooooo (I'm an owl now!).  Night y'all!! Till next time!! ~Iris

Italy Diary: Day 2

Image
YO!! So I'm back with day 2 of Italy!!! Today started up with a bang. Literally. The alarm set to wake us up was Bang Bang (the song) and it was REALLY loud. Woke me up, alright. So we got ready for the day, and had a breakfast of apricot yogurt, oranges, apricots, and left over pizza from last night. Yum.  Then we headed out to our tour. It was an electric bike tour around the countryside of Florence (where we're staying). So cool.  Except. The electric bikes were frightening. When they give you a boost, oh, they give you a boost. And it was really hilly too!!!!! So we'd be going downhill and I'd be trying my very best not to pedal because if I did that would mean a boost...downhill. That was something I did NOT want. At one point, I forgot the electric part was on (you could turn it on and off) and pedalled as I went over a speed bump. I almost fell off. That was a scary moment for me. Plus, there were so many bumps!! And all the bumps were magnified a...

Italy Diary: Day 1

Image
Hey!! So as you can probably guess, I'm on vacation in Italy!! So I've decided to do a 'diary' type thing this week. I'll include various pictures that I took throughout the day as well. So we arrived yesterday. I packed yesterday morning (that was a bit of a rush. Oops. I don't think I forgot anything...), well actually I guess Sunday. Cause our flight was Sunday evening, then we arrived late afternoon yesterday. We took an orientation tour, just to get our bearings. Here are some pics from that tour:  Okay so the last pic I find pretty cool, since this statue inspired Michaelangelo in making the statue of David!!  That evening we went out to dinner at an AMAZING pizza place. Now I'm an extreme food lover, so this was amazing. It was margarita pizza. Well, to be exact, Regima Margarita pizza (same as margarita except with cherry tomatoes and basil added. Then after dinner, we went out to a gelato place. OMG SO GOOD. I have a picture ...

Listening to a new music genre!

HEYO!!!! It's Sunday...and I'm back with a new post!!!! Also...I'M FREEEEEE!! Haha my exams are done. And I am off on a trip. So expect some pics (maybe...hopefully). YAY!! So as you may or may not know, I am a piano player. And I thought that it would be cool to find people who also played the piano (professionally), to, y'know, inspire me a bit more.  I'm not exactly sure how, but I managed to find The Piano Guys. And I absolutely LOVE their stuff. It's a mix of classical and songs that we know. For example, the did a mix of Winter (a classical piece, I forget who it's by though) and Let It Go!!!!! I'm listening to it right now. It's SO GOOD. They also did Story of My Life (1D), What Makes You Beautiful (also 1D), and Thousand Years (Christina Perri?).  The piano guys are five guys. One of them plays the piano, one of them plays the cello, and the others helo out with other stuff on the producing side. (I think) their music videos ...
