Spreading positivity challenge

HELLO! How ya doin? So I've noticed that I've been posting about positivity quite a bit, so I decided to continue the trend, haha. My other posts have been about keeping yourself positive, though. This one is going to be about spreading it.  First, I just need to say something. I honestly don't understand why people feel the need to hate on people they've never met.  For example, celebrities.  Do you know how much hate they get on a daily basis? It's ridiculous! For goodness sakes, you don't even know the person! You don't know the first thing about them, you only know what is available on the Internet. I can assure you, there is so much more to them than that. You have no idea. So don't hate! Appreciate! So that's why I've decided to post this, and start this fun challenge. I'll post a bunch of different ideas to spread positivity, and I'll do them too. I want you to comment when you do them, or post a blog post a...

Debating and Working Out!

HALLO! So, as a follow up to my post yesterday, I thought I'd do a quick post today about how I'm doing on day 1 of my resolutions :) I surprisingly had a very good Monday! Mondays aren't usually the best for me...I mean, it's Monday. The weekend is now over. You have to start a new week. BUT I'm going to try and NOT think like that, haha, 'cause one of my resolutions was to be more positive. That's going to be hard on Monday mornings though... :-| Anyways. The first resolution was to be more active...I had a dance rehearsal today for the musical (FUN! But I don't normally do dance so I had to focus quite a bit to get the moves :P)...and I also just finished working out and watching TV. Who else watches PLL? I DO! While I'm working out. I'm only on season 3 though, and I know the newest episode just aired...so no spoilers please!!! :) The second resolution was to do one thing every day that scares me. For today, I debated. I was terrified. ...

Saying yes and New Years Resolutions!

Hi guys! So today, I wanted to write a bit about new years resolutions (I know I'm a bit late for that, sorry!), and I'm also going to post about something new. So, recently, I read a really inspiring post by Zoella, from 2012 (yeah, I'm kind of behind the times on that :P). It's about just saying yes, and you can read it here if you want to. I wanted to write a similar post today, about just being positive, and saying yes in general. No matter who you are, or what your outlook on life is at the moment, I believe that saying yes is a good place to start on having more positive, happy and fun experiences. You never know what opportunities might come about, and you could be missing out on quite a bit if you take the outlook that the world is out to get you, and you say no to many different opportunities. I know people that have an extremely negative outlook on life, and I'm just going to say that it can be a bit depressing, and frankly, it can suck the life out o...

Getting a haircut!

HI! Today, I got a haircut. This may not seem very significant...but I have to start by saying this: I've been growing my hair for years now. This morning, it was halfway down my back. I love my long hair very, very much, and I hadn't gotten a haircut in about a year and a half. However, today, I did. I went in with the intention to get only a couple inches off. I like my hair long, and I was NOT planning on changing that. So I just wanted a trim. But my hairdresser noticed that it was getting pretty bad, a lot split ends and dead hair. It was also really hard to take care of. So she suggested I take a bunch off. I did. It was a very hard process for me, watching all that hair which I'd spent so long growing, just fall to the ground. But I survived, and now? My hair is at my shoulders. It does look nice still, and it's healthier, and I will come to appreciate it when I get out of my current state of shock. I can't run my fingers through it anymore, though,...

Starwars review!

HI! So, I guess this could count as a new thing...I went to see the new Starwars the other day, so I thought I'd give my opinion on it :) It was actually really, really good. Now, keep in mind, I'm not the biggest Starwars fan. I mean, I enjoy the movies and think they're good...but when you're made to watch the six other starwars movies in the couple weeks leading up to the release of the new one...well let's just say, you're likely to bail after the fifth, because it's 10 hours of the similar plot, over and over and over. I don't want anyone to take offence to this though, as it's just my opinion...but yeah. So I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually really, really good! We saw it in 3D...I could have done without the 3D part, as it was a bit distracting from the action when planes were zooming out from behind you...but I guess that helped with the intensity. Many of the original characters and actors were back, which was super cool.  ...

Survive Boxing Day Like A Pro

HI! So a few days ago, I went Boxing Day shopping for the first time. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it was actually quite fun. I've put together some tips and tricks for next year, from both seasoned shoppers and beginners, to help you (and the future me) navigate Boxing Day like a pro. 1) Do your research. Find a few stores you for sure want to hit, and make them a priority. Find out when they open, and what sales they have, beforehand. Then, you're prepared. 2) Either go really early (as in 6am, if that's when the store opens) or really late (as in 12 or 1 in the afternoon). That way you'll miss the crowds, and won't have to wait in line. 3) If you're going to wait in line, make sure the sale is worth it. If the item is really expensive, and the sale is 5% or even 10% off, it might not be worth the wait, especially if the line is 2 hours long. However, if the item is really expensive, and it's, say, 70% off, plus another free item.....

Top 10 Favourite movies

Hi guys!!! So...this is a post about my favourite movies. As a side note, I went to see the new starwars movie today with my family, so look out for a review on that! I'll probably put one up sometime soon. The holidays have been super busy for me, so I haven't gotten much time to write, unfortunately. However, I've seen quite a few movies with various people over my holiday, so I decided that a cool post for today would be my favourite movies. Now, this will be difficult for me, as I've seen and watched so many, but I'm going to try my best. Okay, here goes: 1) The entire Harry Potter series. Okay, I know what you're thinking. C'mon, Iris, really? A series? You said top ten MOVIES not SERIES. I know, I know. But there are 8 movies and that would take up 8 spots, and I have many more movies that I enjoy. Therefore this will count as one. And if you don't like this series...shame on you. Haha, if you couldn't tell, I'm a MAJOR fan of the har...
